Using it on Discord
What members and admins see after Starboard is enabled.
Members use normal Discord reactions. There is no slash command for Starboard. On reaction add, bot users are ignored before the sync runs; on reaction remove, the bot recomputes the live count so the board stays accurate.
When the live count is below minStars, PaulCLI makes sure the message is not on the board. If an entry exists, it deletes the starboard message best-effort and removes the StarboardEntry row. When the live count is at or above minStars, the bot builds the display line and embed from the original message.
For a new qualifying message, the bot sends a board post and stores the source message, source channel, starboard message, and count. For an existing entry, it fetches the current board post and edits the tally and embed. If someone deleted the board post manually, the bot sends a fresh one and updates starboardMessageId.
Starboard channel is ignored
The module never stars messages posted inside the configured starboard channel. This prevents the board from reacting to its own mirror posts.
