Starboard
Mirror the best community messages once members react with your chosen emoji.
Starboard watches message reaction adds and removals. When a message reaches the configured emoji count, PaulCLI posts a copy into your starboard channel. If the count changes, the board post is edited; if the count drops below the threshold, the board post is removed and its entry is deleted.
The bot reads the starboard config from the database on every reaction, so dashboard changes apply without a restart. Bot reaction adds are ignored by the reaction-add event. The current code does not block authors from reacting to their own messages; if Discord includes the author's reaction in the live reaction count, it counts toward the threshold.
What appears on the board
The board message content is <emoji> **count** • <#sourceChannel>. The embed shows the original author tag and avatar, the original timestamp, a Source field with a jump link, up to 2,000 characters of message text, and the first image attachment if one exists.
Setup
