Workflow
What the Workflow module is and what you can build with it.
Workflow is PaulCLI's automation engine. You draw a flow on a canvas — when this happens → check that → do these things — save it, flip it to Live, and the bot executes it on every matching event.
It is built from blocks. There are four kinds:
- Triggers
- Start a run: a message is sent, a member joins, a reaction is added, a giveaway ends, a schedule fires…
- Conditions
- Route to yes or no: has role?, text matches?, random chance, account age, time of day…
- Logic gates
- Combine several branches: AND, OR, XOR, NAND, NOR, NOT.
- Actions
- Do things: send/reply/DM, react, roles, timeout/kick/ban, voice moves, slowmode, coins, XP, giveaways, tickets…
Examples
- Welcome DM with onboarding role — Member joined → Account older than? 7 days → yes: Send DM + Add role; no: Notify bot owner.
- Easter egg — Message sent (contains
gg) → Random chance 20 % → Add reaction 🎉. - Escalating moderation — AutoMod triggered → Moderation history ≥ 3 → yes: Timeout 60 min + Write to log channel.
- Daily reminder — Schedule (daily at 18:00) → Send embed to #announcements.
- Either-or role check — two Has role? → XOR → Reply “pick exactly one team role”.
