Using it on Discord
Commands and delivery flow.
| Command | Permission | What it does |
|---|---|---|
/rss add url channel [name] [avatar] | Manage Webhooks | Parses the feed, rejects duplicate feed-to-channel pairs, creates a webhook in a text or announcement channel, encrypts the webhook URL and stores the subscription. |
/rss list | Manage Webhooks | Shows every configured feed in the server with its channel and feed id. |
/rss remove feed | Manage Webhooks | Uses autocomplete for up to 25 feeds, deletes the saved row, and best-effort deletes the webhook. |
Delivery is webhook-based. For each new item, PaulCLI builds an orange embed with title, link, snippet, optional author, footer and timestamp. If customName or customAvatar is set, those values override the webhook sender on that message.
The first polling pass after a feed is added establishes the baseline only. Future passes post items before lastGuid, oldest first, up to 5 per tick. Progress is saved after each successful send, so a crash or webhook failure retries from the failed item instead of duplicating already posted ones.
Test before saving
The dashboard test endpoint returns the latest item preview. When called with an existing feedId, it can also deliver a live test embed through that saved webhook.
