Setup
Add an RSS feed from the dashboard.
Open /dashboard/<guildId>/rss. The configurator lists existing subscriptions, lets you test a feed URL, and creates the Discord webhook used for delivery.
- 1
Enter the feed URL
Use a public
httporhttpsRSS/Atom URL. The dashboard API rejects private or internal addresses and URLs over 2048 characters. - 2
Test the feed
Click the test button to fetch and parse the URL. The response shows the feed title, item count and latest-entry preview.
- 3
Choose a channel
Select the text channel that should receive new posts. The API verifies the channel belongs to the guild.
- 4
Optionally customise sender
Set a custom webhook name (max 80 characters) and avatar URL. The name is sanitised so it cannot contain
discord. - 5
Save
PaulCLI creates a channel webhook, encrypts its URL with AES-256-GCM, and stores the feed row. New posts start after the next polling cycle.
Required bot permissions
The bot must be able to manage webhooks in the target channel. If webhook creation fails, the feed is not saved.
You can edit the target channel or sender details later. Moving a feed to another channel creates a fresh webhook and removes the old one best-effort.
