Setup

Use moderation from the dashboard and Discord commands.

Open /dashboard/<guildId>/moderation to review recent cases and queue WARN, KICK or TIMEOUT actions. The dashboard requires guild access, paginates cases 20 at a time, and refreshes shortly after a successful queue submission.

  1. 1

    Grant Discord permissions

Moderators need the command permissions Discord shows for each slash command. Dashboard access is checked with MANAGE_GUILD or ADMINISTRATOR.

  2. 2

    Check bot role position

Place PaulCLI above roles it should kick, ban or timeout. The bot refuses targets with an equal or higher role where the command checks hierarchy.

  3. 3

    Use the case history

The moderation page lists cases ordered newest first, including case number, action, target, moderator, reason, duration and expiry.

  4. 4

    Queue dashboard actions

Submit target Discord ID, reason and, for timeouts, a duration. The bot processes up to 10 pending rows per 5-second poll.

Required bot permissions

PaulCLI needs the matching Discord permission for the action: Kick Members, Ban Members, Moderate Members, Manage Messages or Manage Channels/logging access as appropriate. Discord role hierarchy still applies even when a dashboard action is queued.

For Discord-only actions such as /ban, /unban, /unmute and /purge, use slash commands. The dashboard queue currently accepts only WARN, KICK and TIMEOUT.
