Setup

Create join and leave messages from the dashboard.

Open /dashboard/<guildId>/welcome. The page has two editors: Welcome Message for joins and Goodbye Message for leaves. Each editor can be enabled independently, and each needs a channel before the bot will send anything.

  1. 1

    Enable the direction you want

Turn on Welcome Message, Goodbye Message, or both. Disabled directions are ignored even if a channel and template are present.

  2. 2

    Choose the channel

Select the text channel for that direction. The bot resolves the channel from cache and sends only if it is text-based.

  3. 3

    Write the message template

Use variables such as {user}, {server}, and {memberCount}. Templates support Discord markdown because the bot sends them as normal Discord content or embed text.

  4. 4

    Pick a style

Choose TEXT, EMBED, V2, or CANVAS. Each style reveals only the extras it can use.

  5. 5

    Customize extras

Set titles, colors, avatar display, media, buttons, or card colors as needed. Save Welcome Settings when finished.

  6. 6

    Test safely

Use a test account or temporarily leave/rejoin the server. For goodbye, remember {user} becomes a plain username because the user may no longer be mentionable.

Required bot permissions

The bot needs View Channel and Send Messages in the selected welcome and goodbye channels. CANVAS style also attaches an image, so the channel must allow file attachments.
