Troubleshooting
Why a giveaway may not post, accept entries or pick winners.
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard giveaway never appears | The bot cannot access the channel, cannot send there, or the channel was deleted. | Check channel permissions. Unrecoverable Discord errors 50013, 50001 and 10003 mark the giveaway ended. Create a new launch after fixing permissions. |
| A member cannot enter | The giveaway ended, the copied button belongs to another server, the user lacks requiredRoleId, or their account is younger than minAccountAgeDays. | Verify the requirement fields and ask the member to press the button from the original server message. |
| Role check fails temporarily | Discord member fetch failed while checking the required role. | Ask the member to try again. The bot intentionally does not create the entry when it cannot verify roles. |
| No winners announced | There were no entries, or fewer entries than winnersCount. | Promote the giveaway before ending; the picker only uses stored entries. |
| Custom colour or image is rejected | Dashboard validation requires #RRGGBB colours and http(s) image URLs of at most 2048 characters. | Use a six-digit hex colour and a public http(s) image link. |
Reroll note
/giveaway reroll does not require the giveaway to be currently running; it looks up the stored entries and writes a new winnerIds list.
