Using it on Discord

How temporary room owners manage their channel.

A member joins a configured hub. PaulCLI creates a voice channel under the hub's category, grants the creator ManageChannels, MuteMembers, MoveMembers, and Connect, stores them as owner, moves them into the room, and sends the owner panel.

The panel shows whether the room is public or private, the current user limit, invited users, banned users, and the owner. Only the stored owner may press its controls. Other users receive an ephemeral “Only the channel owner can use this panel” message.

  • Lock room / Unlock room toggles Connect for @everyone.
  • Invite opens a user picker and grants Connect plus ViewChannel to the selected member.
  • Rename opens a modal; the new name is required and sliced to 100 characters.
  • Transfer crown gives the new owner room controls, removes the old owner overwrite, and updates the database owner.
  • User limit opens a modal that accepts only 0–99.
  • Ban denies Connect and ViewChannel; if the target is inside, they are disconnected.
  • Kick disconnects a selected non-owner who is currently in the room.

Owner safety

The owner cannot add, ban, or kick themselves through the picker paths; ownership transfer has its own validation.
